What is the sensory path?

The sensory path is a long walking track for children made of elements of the same size, containing different fillings.

What is its function?

The main task of the sensory path is developing the sense of touch in children, learning colors and weight. Walking with bare feet on the sensory path also develops balance and mobility, and therefore has a positive effect on high motor skills. It teaches eye-hand coordination and concentration. It massages the receptors in the feet, which has a positive effect on the entire body. It helps to correct foot defects, improves blood circulation and stimulates the muscles of the feet to work. Children can also walk on the path on all fours, which additionally stimulates the sense of touch, massages the hands and toughens the body. It can also be used by older children as gigantic collars weighing down on the shoulders.

Where is it used?

Sensory paths are very popular. As an element from the "Sensory Products" category, it can be used in many places. The most popular places are sensory integration disorders therapy rooms, kindergartens, schools and other educational institutions. Anyone can buy a path to their own home and use it to stimulate their child's development.

How is it made?

The trail consists of 8 squares of equal size, each made of a different color of cotton (Oeko-Tex® certificate). The squares are stitched together to form a path. Each square measures 28 x 28 cm. Everything is stored in a neon bag, which facilitates keeping order and cleanliness. Due to the use of completely safe elements as filling, the path can be washed in water.

What's inside?

The elements used as filling are completely safe for the user and are very diverse. Thus, each segment of the path has a different weight. Thanks to the use of fillings that can be successfully wetted, the path can even be used under water. Examples of fillings: - stones of various sizes, sharp and oval - sand - glass granules - polystyrene - grit - cherry and grape seeds - buckwheat hulls - plastic granules.

Additional elements

In addition to the classic sensory path, you can use a ready-made empty cover for the path - the opening path. They are squares sewn together to form a path, but empty inside. Each person fills in the squares with different elements. There is no fear of falling out of these elements - each square is fastened with sewn Velcro. You can purchase ready-made spare bags with various fillings, which can be inserted into the opening path. At the same time, everyone can also, using their imagination, put anything into the pillows. All this to constantly stimulate the child's senses and develop his imagination. Additionally, while walking along the path, the child may hold mini sensory pillows in their hands, which resemble elements of the path, but in miniature. These small elements contain the same fillings as in the original large path and the child has to find them.
